The Banyan Theater Company of Sarasota
The Banyan Theater Company mounted its first productions in the summer of 2002 with Harold Pinter’s “Betrayal” followed by George Bernard Shaw’s “Don Juan in Hell.”
Having made a strong positive first impression with audiences and critics alike, the banyan nTheater was hailed as
“the hottest item on the Sarasota menu.”
All following seasons have been equally impressive with the company staying true to its original
mission of producing intelligent, significant plays each summer, showcasing the works of both classic and contemporary
playwrights. Shows have included “The Price” by Arthur Miller, “Uncle Vanya” by Anton Chekhov, “The Glass Menagerie” by
Tennessee Williams, “Life X 3” by Yasmina Reza, “Faith Healer” by Brian Friel, “True West” by Sam Shepard, “Old Wicked Songs”
by Jon Marans, “The Drawer Boy” by Michael Healey, and “Animals Out of Paper” by Rajiv Joseph.
The Banyan Theater Company presents it summer season in the Jane B. Cook Theatre at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts. Intimate and comfortable, the Cook
Theatre is located at the northwest corner of the U.S. 41 and University Parkway.
I would be happy to tell you more about the Banyan Theater Company here in Sarasota Florida and all the other reasons why owning a home or condo in Sarasota Florida is such an enjoyable experience and why owning Sarasota real estate is such a great investment.
