Sarasota Events and Festivals
Posted July 4, 2008
Sarasota Florida is a place that just overflows with festivals and events all year round -- events as big as the County Fair and as simple as the Palm Avenue Friday Night Art Walk which occurs the first Friday evening of each month in downtown Sarasota.
The annual Suncoast Offshore Grand Prix's downtown "Parade of Boats" occurred this past weekend. It was enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors who brought
millions of dollars of revenue to Sarasota merchants and businesses. Adults, kids, and even some dogs watched more than 30 power boats rolled down the street being towed by huge rigs.
The annual Parade of Boats, part of the Suncoast OffShore
Grand Prix Festival in June - July is just one of several seasonal events that take place in Sarasota Florida each year.
The Sarasota Film Festival, the Sarasota SpringFest and the Sarasota County Fair in March, the St Armands Art Festival in October, and the Taste of Sarsota Golf Festival, the Annual International Invitational Auto Show
of antique and classic automobiles, and the Sarasota Blues Festival all in November plus the Sailor's Circus showcasing high school performers in December, all keep things hopping
in this vibrant town.
On an on-going basis, the Sarasota area is also blessed by such wonderful and varied assets as the Ringling Museum of Art,
the Florida West Coast Symphony and the
Sarasota Classic Car Museum and the Selby Botanical Gardens.
I am certain that you will find many things to like about Sarasota Florida and its festivals and amenities are only one part of its attractiveness. I invite you to come visit our Sunny Paradise of Sarasota.
